
Daniel J. Romero is President of the Fray Angélico Chávez Chapter of the Genealogical Society of Hispanic America (GSHA) and serves as a board leader with the Pueblo County Historical Society. He brings nearly 40 years of professional experience in commercial insurance underwriting, risk management, and organizational leadership. Romero is actively involved in Hispanic genealogy, historical preservation, and community education initiatives throughout Southern Colorado and New Mexico. He has led efforts focused on archival preservation, organizational modernization, cultural programming, and expanding access to genealogical resources through digitization and public engagement projects. Known for his collaborative leadership style and commitment to preserving Hispanic heritage, Romero works to strengthen partnerships between historical organizations, genealogists, researchers, and local communities while promoting the importance of cultural history for future generations.
